Creative Academy is a unique partnership between Slough Borough Council and the University of West London (UWL), supported by funding from the Arts Council England, Slough School Sport and Physical Activity Network, the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Student Finance England, and the Education and Skills Funding Council.

Travel & Slough
Slough is a large thriving town in Berkshire within the Thames Valley region and the London metropolitan area at the intersection of the M4, M40 and M25 motorways. Slough is junction 5, 6 & 7 on the M4 and 4b/15 on the M25. Slough is on the First Great Western Line between London Paddington and Reading. The town is part of the London Underground map the Elizabeth Line (TfL / Crossrail). There are excellent public transport links in Slough with the Creative Academy main campus being only 0.8 miles from the rail & bus stations. Slough is 7 miles from the international airport London Heathrow (LHR) and 20 miles away from Central London and Paddington.
Located in the South East of England, Slough is an important commercial centre servicing the whole country and has many international affiliations. Slough has the highest concentration of UK HQ’s of global companies outside London. Slough Trading Estate is the largest industrial estate in single private ownership in Europe. It’s location and access to fast transport links are a key factor in the town’s commercial success.
Accommodation
There are several options for accommodation with the most popular being house/flat shares through reputable websites and local letting/estate agents. The places to look for accommodation are Slough (and surrounding areas – Burnham, Datchet, Eton, Hayes, High Wycombe, Langley, Maidenhead, Iver, Taplow, Uxbridge, West Drayton and Windsor. The Creative Academy manages a Facebook group that allows students to meet virtually and organise the logistics of finding accommodation with other students.
Alternatively, students can rent a spare room in shared houses or family homes. The closest privately owned student halls are in Reading; Unite Students (Kendrick Hall and Crown House) and Fawley Bridge student accommodation. Students must also factor in travel from Reading to Slough, which is approximately 18 miles

Creative Academy takes up to 40 students intake for first year with 20 in a class.
Yes, Creative Academy offers Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2: Imperial Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap.
Creative Academy charges £7250 per year (subject to APP, funded by SLC through UWL.
We do not have our own Halls of Residence but we do have access to privately run Student halls in Reading (www.unite-students.com & www.fawleybridgestudents.com). We do however have a private Facebook accommodation group set up which new students will be given access to once the deposit for the course is made (letter will be sent out). Through this Creative Academy helps and give’s guidance for students come together, meet one another, and meet estate agents to view and rent houses.
Creative Academy offers a minimum of 30 contact hours, 20 more than other University dance courses and has much smaller class sizes. Creative Academy is embedded within industry and has ‘real’ partnerships with some of the country’s top dance industry professionals.
Creative Academy offers the same level of training as other CDMT vocational schools, however, students gain essential skills to work in the dance industry outside of performance including teaching qualifications, essential dance qualifications and a greater understanding of being a freelancer, business skills and funding.
Creative Academy encourages students to take as many classes as possible as long as it does not impact on your learning and time at Creative Academy.
